Playing futbol at sunset

The endless sands and dunes are the Saharawi children’s playground in the refugee camps. Until they have a chance to go outside the camps for summer vacation or to study abroad, the children will not have seen a river, lake or sea and will not know of parks and forests and many other things most of us take for granted. Some 10,000 kids go to Spain each summer and much smaller numbers to other European destinations. More recently a handful have been sponsored to visit the US. Under the aegis of the Woodcraft Folk, no more than 20 children have ever come to the UK at a time.
