A food distribution centre. The Saharawi refugees are largely reliant upon outside aid for their survival. Despite an explosive population growth in recent years and shrinking aid from the EU, burgeoning markets in the camps have largely compensated for the shortfalls. This development is giving rise to economic class divisions, which did not exist prior to 1995.
